The 19th Annual Stars of Tomorrow Scholarship Competition is NOW ACCEPTING online submissions through March 25, 2026.
Thank you for your interest in South Coast Singers' 19th Annual Stars of Tomorrow Scholarship Competition. The competition is open to all current high school students in Orange County.
South Coast Singers feels strongly that giving back to the community through outreach programs is an important part of their musical mission. To that end, an annual event was established more than 20 years ago, and since its inception, South Coast Singers has given away more than $80k in vocal scholarship awards. Known as Stars of Tomorrow, this program provides an opportunity for young Orange County high school vocalists to compete for scholarship money intended to assist them in pursuing their career goals. This year, after an initial video audition, 10 vocalists by category will be chosen to go on to the semi-finals. A minimum of $4,500 in prize money will be awarded in two categories: Classical and Musical Theatre. Judges for both auditions consist of highly qualified musicians, performers and/or music instructors who support this event with their time and talent.

Our 2026 final judges will be Diana Farrell, Artistic Director at the Lyric Opera, Orange County; Robert Burns, founder of South Coast Singers, continued supporter, and actor; and Sydney Dardis, Soprano, Vocal Arts graduate of The Juilliard School.
First place winners in each category will perform and receive their scholarship awards at a South Coast Singers concert on June 7th or June 14th.

Complete audition submissions must be emailed to sotapplication@gmail.com no later than March 25, 2026, 11:59 PM. Audition material submitted after the application deadline will not be considered.
